Rich text editor should render user defined commands

I use a lot of commands like
\newcommand{\RR}{\mathbb R}
at the beginning of my document. I like the rich text thing, but it is would be way nicer if it could render the user defined commands.

        Agreed, I'd like to use commands such as the following:
        \newcommand{\overl}[1]{\overset{#1}{\gets}}
        \newcommand{\overr}[1]{\overset{#1}{\to}}
        and be able to see them using the rich text mode.

        Thanks in advance.

        Any progress on this? It's been nearly a year, and this feature missing is the main thing keeping me from using Overleaf's Rich Text mode.
