1. ## I suggest you to launch a page where we can easily make engineering drawings

Free body diagrams
Beams and columns models
Circuits
Pipes
etc.

I know there are some programs that can do that, but like me, there are tons of people that are not always working on their own PC, so an online version would make us happy.

It would be awesome if the online version had predetermined figures that can be scaled without effort, and someway of creating and saving then as a "model" (it would be somewhat like a "block" in autoCAD language), I mean, if I need a pipe elbow on a figure I'm creating, I would like to import…

I was trying to use it but compiler couldn't find it.

Thanks for the feedback! It would be best to get this into TeX Live so it will be installed everywhere, but if there’s enough interest, we can install it on Overleaf.

In the mean time, note that you can upload your own .sty and .code.tex files to your projects on Overleaf, if you want to use this package right now!

3. ## Live preview is extremely slow

I enjoy WriteLatex, but it still takes about 1 minute to load typeset previews from my fast internet connection in Berkeley, California. Is there a way to speed this up? My document currently only 10 pages and doesn't contain any images or figures.

Thanks for reporting this. Stay tuned for preview speed improvements coming soon!

4. ## The compiler is slow and is not strong.

The compiler takes much time to compile, even the local compiler is fast sometimes. If you would like to compare online compiler then I have used Sharelatex as well, its MUCH MUCH faster.
ANother thing is that compiler is not able to render document ignoring some small errors such as defined \hbox which is general error and can be ignored to compile the complex mathematical formulas.
I wanted to switch over but this is too much lag to compile and not adjusting to small errors which are prone to happen.

Stay tuned for updated compiler support!

Also, \hbox etc. should be being reported as warnings, so you can still compile your project. If not, please drop us a line at www.overleaf.com/contact with an example. Thanks!

5. ## Characters are removed when copying

If I copy paste some text from other site into my Overleaf project, if for example there is the word "different", when I paste it disappears "iff" and the resultant word is "dierent". There are some more combination of letters that are removed when pasting. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll see what we can do to support ligatures in copy and paste.

6. ## Increase the file size limit, I have a couple of large images that need to be displayed so I have to use external compilers

Update: We have recently increased the max file upload size to 50MB, even though the 15MB limit still applies to zip uploads (also to be lifted soon). So, if you upload the larger files individually, that should work now.

7. ## safari bookmark picture

There is no image on the when you bookmark the page on safari, would be nice to have!

Thanks for reporting this. We’ll see what we can do!

8. ## Multiple image/file deletion

It would be great if I'd be able to delete multiple file/images in the LaTeX project file.

Thanks for the feedback. Better file management is coming soon. Until then, it’s worth noting that if all of the files are in a folder, then you can delete the folder.

9. ## display 2 column figures with figure* tag

Thanks for the feedback. In the preview, you can use all of the standard LaTeX commands, including figure*.

In rich text mode, the current display of figures is pretty basic. Improved figure display is coming soon. We’ll see what we can do with multi-column figures in rich text mode, but it’s important to note that you can still use them if you edit the source directly.

10. ## display \underline

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll see what we can do to support underline.

11. ## user paper size defaults

allow users to set up their default paper size: it seems to me that you configured overleaf to handle only a4 paper by default

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll look into whether we can provide this as a user default. In the mean time, you can of course explicitly specify your paper size with most templates.

12. ## to let me upload auxiliary (.aux) files

All in title :)

Thanks for getting in touch. We don’t allow upload of .aux files because they are usually generated automatically as part of the build process. Can you elaborate on why you’d like to upload .aux files?

13. ## Synchronize and update files from google drive/ drop box

Hi there,

I know that Overleaf has already integrated functionality with google drive and drop box etc.
But, one of the powers of using Latex is you can specify a file name in a directory and whenever you compile, it would get that file/image - so you could work on your analysis and write a new image with the same file name (same file name as the older image) and Latex would pull the new image.

Is it possible to have this kind of ability in Overleaf? Something like a refresh button in the Project Files section which then reloads…

Better Drive + Dropbox sync are coming soon. Thanks for the feedback. :)

14. ## is there a way to include the minted-package at version 2+

I would need minted at version 2+ in order to use the breaklines option.
Is there any way to specify the version or upgrade overleaf to version 2
(as far as i have tested it, it is fully compatible with 1.X)

We’ll soon be updating to the TeX Live that ships with Ubuntu 15.04, which should solve this problem.

15. ## Provide one git repo with all projects inside, including new ones

Keeping one repo with all my Overleaf projects updated would be much more convenient than having to clone a new repo every time I create a new project. This would also entail new projects automatically being tracked in git, which I think is a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll see if we can support something like that. It’s worth noting that the git bridge is open source, and it may be possible to adapt it to provide a multi-project repo view. (https://github.com/overleaf/writelatex-git-bridge)

16. ## Rich text mode display figures reliably

I only seem to get figures displayed in the rich text editor if I store the image files in the 'root' folder of the project. When I tidy them into a separate folder (and point to the folder) the rich text editor displays [Not Found:...] despite the pdf preview displaying it just fine.

Thanks for the feedback. The rich text mode currently doesn’t understand the \graphicspath command, so it only works with images that have a full path specified. We’re planning to improve this.

17. ## Can you please implement latex2rtf so we can get RTF output as well ?

Thanks for the feedback. Stay tuned for more output options soon!

18. ## Make it possible, to highlight text in the "rich text mode" with different colurs

It would be great to be able to higlight parts of the text in the rich text mode in some colours which need to completed or reviesed.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll see if we can provide a highlighting feature as part of our commenting / change tracking support.

19. ## Don't let enumerate disappear in rich text mode

When typing an enumerated list, the parameters

$\begin{enumerate}$\end{enumerate}

disappear. This can cause quite a bit of confusion and it would be best to leave them visible for ease of highlighting, adding items, etc

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll see what we can do to make that behaviour clearer.

20. ## Better Caret

Could you improve the caret? Maybe make it bold or have it in a bright color? I always have a tough time trying to find the cursor in the text. A more bolder version in bright colors would be a huge help.
